Métral Pierre-Alexandre

Originally from Haute-Savoie, I started my university course with a degree in geography specializing in the development of mountain territories at the Savoie Mont-Blanc University. Afterwards, I joined the Master 1 "Innovation and Territory" of the Institute of Geography Alpine and then the specialty "Tourism Innovation Transition" for the Master 2.

I realized a research paper directed by Pascal Mao whose study objects were alternative recreational practices and their contributions to the recreational transition.

As a continuation of my dissertation, I am starting a doctorate supervised by Jean Corneloup and Pascale Marcotte (Uqtr) on the study of recreational practices within the transmodern cultural system in the mountain territories in France and Quebec. This thesis is financed by the Labex Innovation and Mountain Territories (ITEM) and I am affiliated to the antenna of Pacte in Ardeche: the Cermosem.
