Price Martin

Professor Martin Price is Director of the Centre for Mountain Studies at Perth College, University of the Highlands and Islands, Scotland, UK and Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Mountain Development.  He has worked on issues relating to sustainable mountain development for three decades, particularly in relation to biodiversity/protected areas, forests, and tourism, and also using integrated approaches.  He has been involved in the coordination of four major Europe-wide studies on mountain areas, for the European Commission, the European Environment Agency, ESPON, and the European Parliament
