Trotta-Brambilla Gabriella

Architect and urban planner. I use to approach the notion of inhabited territory, from the scale of the house to that of the metropolis, seeking to understand the relationships between space and needs, desires and temporalities characterizing the life of its inhabitants. My favorite case studies are the metropolitan areas (especially Grenoble, Turin and Genoa), analyzed in particular in their relationship to the mountains. My research adopts two main entries, the notions of "reticular territoriality" and of "project", which specially intersect in the educational project "The territory of the Ligne des Alpes: stakeholders, mobilities, projects", financed by the Labex ITEM.

My research work is mainly part of the TeliMeP research project where, through the analysis of the context of the recent Italian territorial reform (and in particular the analysis of the cases of the Città Metropolitana of Genoa and Turin) I contribute to the definition of different figures of the city/mountain relationship.
