Rey Benjamin
Dr. Benjamin Rey is a CNRS engineer working for the Laboratory of Biometry and Evolutionary Biology at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. Benjamin is an ecological physiologist with a strong experience in both field and laboratory work. His research interests focus on metabolic and mitochondrial adaptations developed by endotherms and ectotherms in response to environmental stress (cold exposure, freezing tolerance, hypoxia, food deprivation) and stress associated to social constraints and interspecific interactions. He also investigate the physiology of oxidative stress (i.e. the physiology of the redox homeostasis) analyzing the balance between pro-oxidant molecules and the antioxidants defenses in several animal models. He is involved in the marmot project since 2012
